Our Values

You may have noticed that we here at Oxford refer to ourselves as the CREW. Being part of the CREW means more than building relationships between each other and our community - it's also showcasing Oxford's core values in everything we do.

Constant Improvement

Committing to achieving bold new goals and visions for yourself and for Oxford.

Respectful and Accountable

Setting an example by showing that you care about others and yourself. You own your actions and decisions and meet commitments.

Exceed Expectations

By exceeding the expectations of our customers and each other, members of the CREW help make Oxford an asset to our communities, and a great place to build a career.

Work Together

Setting an example by showing that you care about others and yourself. You own your actions and decisions and meet commitments.

Our Vision

Our vision begins with our other greatest asset-- the Oxford CREW. We focus on hiring, developing and maintaining great people to create an energetic and inspired workplace. By investing in our health and happiness, we are able to pay it forward to our tenants and to each other. This brings forth an excellent tenant and employee retention ratio, which is one of the reasons for our excellent returns to our investors. View our full vision by clicking here.

Our Mission

Oxford’s mission is to serve and strengthen our community with spaces that enrich lives and enhance productivity.

Oxford in the Community

Oxford has been a thriving member of the Ann Arbor economic landscape since 1998, and giving back to our community is one of our longest held and most cherished values. We choose to make significant contributions to support organizations which commit to the health, educational and cultural foundations of our communities.

We are proud to support our staff as they volunteer and fundraise for organizations such as:

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Oxford Companies is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion among its staff (known at the CREW) and in our community.

The CREW and our many community partners and stakeholders are our most valuable assets, and we celebrate their individual differences, backgrounds, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, unique capabilities, and talents. These add not only to our company culture, but to our reputation and the achievements of our organization.

We embrace and value our CREW’s diversity of age, color, ethnicity, family and marital status, gender identity or expression, sex, language, national origin, physical and mental ability and disability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make each employee unique. We support the Black Lives Matter movement and ongoing social change that will make our society more equitable for all people.

Oxford has created diversity initiatives that impact our practices and policies for recruitment, hiring, and retention, as well as compensation and benefits, professional development programs, social and recreational programs, and the ongoing development of a more equitable work environment. In 2020, Oxford created a Diversity and Inclusion Council to focus on rooting out systemic racism and discriminatory practices in our community through education, conversation, and support. We’ve started taking action toward this mission by focusing on our internal policies and procedures and conducting climate surveys to gauge our organizational and community environment. We’ve also launched a CREW Challenge with our team members that facilitates and encourages a monthly educational initiative on the topic of racial awareness and justice. We plan to continue conducting research and providing education and events about diversity to impact not only our organization, but our families and communities as well. We are also maintaining lists of educational resources and local minority-owned businesses. Click here to learn more.
