We’re delighted to share that Oxford Companies has hired Neal Warling to serve as Director of Sales and Leasing. Neal will help lead Oxford’s brokerage transactions, working with property owners, investors, tenants and corporate clients to support their commercial real estate needs in Ann Arbor.
Warling brings more than 40 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience and deep expertise in the Washtenaw County market. Throughout his career, he has completed more than 1,000 transactions valued at over $2 billion. He has represented corporate, entrepreneurial and institutional clients in the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, with a focus on agency leasing and sales of office, research and industrial properties.
Prior to joining Oxford, Neal served as a Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), an international full-service real estate company, where he spent 16 years specializing in the Ann Arbor market.

Outside of work, Neal has always been a big fan of Ann Arbor’s parks, Huron River Drive north of town, the Farmers Market, and the U of M Art Museum. Among the many delicious restaurants to choose from in the city, his favorite is Dixboro House.
When asked for his top insight gleaned from his 40+ years in real estate, Neal advises to \ focus on total occupancy cost rather than just the rent or sales price, when evaluating a property. Taxes, operating expenses, and utility costs can make a building less feasible even when it’s the lower-priced option, per square foot.
