Congratulations Oxford Tenants!
Current Magazine recently announced their Best of Washtenaw 2021 winners, and we’re thrilled that so many of our closest partners made the list. As leaders in Ann Arbor commercial real estate, we have the privilege of providing office and retail space to many of Ann Arbor’s most beloved businesses. From the Southside to the State Street District, we’re proud of these customer-centric, innovative, and unique businesses that have won the hearts of Ann Arborites in 2021.
Winning the Sports Store/Outfitter category, and placing as runner-up for Locally-Owned Men’s Clothing Store, Bivouac is known for its outdoor gear and sporty apparel, as well as its fashion-forward styles. We love following Bivouac on Instagram to check out their newest gear and hottest looks!
Who beat out Bivouac for best Locally-Owned Men’s Clothing Store? None other than the iconic Van Boven, which has been selling fine men’s clothing in the State Street District for over a hundred years. Talk about making your mark on Ann Arbor commercial real estate! Bonus: check out Van Boven shoes for great footwear styles as well.
Also located in the State Street District, women’s clothing store Mix made the list as runner up in the Locally-Owned Women’s Clothing Store category. We love the quirky, artistic styles offered at this pleasant shop in Nickels Arcade.
The State Street District is also home to University Flower Shop, which won the top spot in the Florist category. The shop has a sunny, welcoming, fragrant storefront in Nickels Arcade.
Taking the runner-up spot in the Barbershop category, Arcade Barbers is an Ann Arbor institution that dates back to 1917 – another remarkable example of a longstanding Ann Arbor commercial real estate presence. When strolling through Nickels Arcade, you’ll likely see several folks waiting for their turn in a barber chair.
Beach House Sugar, Wax and Tan
This hidden gem on State Street is a hotspot for anyone headed out for spring break – or who just needs a pick me up! Owner Brittany Rose and her team offer waxing, sugaring (an alternative to waxing), spray tans, and lash services.
With two locations – our favorite being the campus spot on State Street – Tiny Buddha won the Yoga Studio category. They’ve resumed in-person classes for vaccinated yogis, and you can register online!
